INTRODUCTION

Lumumba secondary school established skill programs that is not part of educational issues since 1990. These programs are known as “extra curriculum activities”.

This is activities is formally arranged in schools which is usually practiced on every Friday at 10pm to 6pm.

ACTIVITIES

Some of the important activities that are going utterly practiced are;
1)General knowledge
2)Debate that involves various issues socially, culturally and politically
3)Football matches of students of different schools
4)Pick and act program, pick and act what you have been informed/ordered in chosen paper and then act
5)Motivating and educating peoples on certain things such as religion, social and cultural including prevent ourselves from diseases and join in banks
6)Invitation of knowledgeable and educated people for the sake of providing knowledge to students

ACHIEVEMENTS

*Most students pressurize their understanding ability socially , culturally and politically

* Students influence their talents in different skills through extra curriculum activities.

* Promotion of curiosity skills between students.

* Maintenance of good health to students.

* Continuous of co-operation between students of different school.

* Increase mental ability to students.

CHALLENGES

*Interaction of different activities that may take place in extra curriculum duration.

* Insufficient time due to the plenty of activities planned to be done .

* Students don’t participate in this activity due to shyness and fear.

* Lack of instrument/ tools needed in extra curriculum.

* Less attending of invited guests.
