Welcome to the official website of Lumumba Secondary School, well recognized for it's excellence and widely regarded as the first and best Science Secondary School throughout Zanzibar, Tanzania. whereby only the cream ones get the opportunity to join this school following having out-passed with flying colors in either standard seven (Now Standard Six) National Examinations or Form Four National Examinations (CSEE)
In our school, we are committed to offer first class education to all students, which will enable them to be responsible citizens of the world, future leaders, professionals and reach their goals in life.
The formidable glory of Lumumba emanates from the fact that it has mentored several elites and influential figures in the isles, Tanzania and globally, interestingly, both the current President Hon: Dr.Ali Mohammed Shein and Former President of Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar Hon: Dr. Amani Abeid Karume, as well as the Former Vice President Hon: Dr. Mohammed Gharib Bilal and Current Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania were once students in this school.
