CHALLENGES FACED
Contrary to O-level, the A-level results in National Examinations have been not spectacular. It is almost impossible to find students who attained Division zero from Form IV (CSEE) national exams, while it is very ordinary to find them from Form VI (ACSEE) national exams. This is due to several factors including the low to mediocore quality of students selected to join the A-level program.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Despite the general trend of poor ACSEE results, there have been some best students from Lumumba Secondary School and some of them have been Zanzibar One and ranked among top ten of the best students in Tanzania. The most recent student to achieve those heights is Mikidadi Mahmoud who obtained Division One with 4 points in 2017 ACSEE national exams. He was the Zanzibar best student (Zanzibar One). He equalled the record that was previously held by anaother Lumumba student, namely Burhan Makame Burhan, who also obtained Division One with 4 points back in 2006.
